Weight tracking is widely practiced and can be useful data source. Often it goes hand in hand with [[Diet tracking tools|diet tracking]]. In the most basic form it can be done with any personal scale, but smart scales which automatically record weights to a companion app exist. Additionally, some scales also calculate metrics such as body fat percentage beyond the total weight.
