Weight tracking is widely practiced and can be useful data source. Often it goes hand in hand with diet tracking. In the most basic form it can be done with any personal scale, but smart scales which automatically record weights to a companion app exist. Additionally, some scales also calculate metrics such as body fat percentage beyond the total weight.

Tools for tracking weight

  • Withings smart scales, which also give fat mass, muscle mass and bone mass
