I think there may be a package for that in R.  Alternatively, do you know of any way to do decomposition of time series with multiple trends including multiple short ones that end?

Also the time series plot should probably be composed from slightly bigger points with low opacity lines. Like online.stat.psu.edu/stat510/lesson/1/1.1 maybe.

I think there may be a package for that in R. Alternatively, do you know of any way to do decomposition of time series with multiple trends including multiple short ones that end?
