This page is about tracking physical activity. It is not to be confused with Active Tracking. Activity tracking typically describes the act of tracking physical activity[1] and is frequently measured through metrics such as steps, calories burned, distance walked/run, heart rate and related proxies for physical activity.
The tracking of activity more broadly are typically variations of time tracking or productivity tracking.
Metrics used in activity tracking[edit | edit source]
A wide number of metrics is used to measure activity, some of the most common one include:
- heart rate
- distance walked/run
- steps
- calories burned
- heart rate variability
- minutes active
- flights climbed
